PhD (ANU), Associate Professor, Master degree supervisor. His research focus is on the total synthesis of bioactive natural products, as well as the assembly of functional structures. As of November 2025, he has hold over 1 NSFC grant, 3 Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, and 7 Enterprise Projects. He has published more than 104 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, of which 47 he serves as the corresponding/first authors, mainly in top journals such as Angewandte Chemie and Food Chemistry, he has also licensed 6 patents, 3 of which have been transferred to industry.

Research Interests:

Ping Lan is mainly committed to the total synthesis of various natural products with important pharmacological activities as well as the development of green preparation of new functional materials. The representative work include the total concise synthesis of morphinan alkaloids; the efficient preparation of high-purity sugar fatty acid esters and EPA Omega-3 products.
